How do I go about selecting the funeral that I want

Contact Grobbelaars & Church Funeral Services to arrange an appointment at a time that suits you.  The consultation can take place at Grobbelaars & Church Funeral Services' premises or, if you prefer, one of our consultants can visit you at home.  The consultant will discuss the range of services available with you.

How much will it cost?

Grobbelaars & Church Funeral Services will calculate the total cost of the funeral according to your personal needs.

Can I pay in installments?

If you wish to pay for your pre-paid contract in installments, we will allow a maximum of six months.

Will my money be safe?

Your money is paid into a trust account and held until such time as death occurs and the funeral has taken place.

Can I purchase a plan for someone else?

Yes, if you are responsible for the affairs of a relative or a friend and wish to apply on their behalf you are welcome to do so. All correspondence will be addressed to you in complete confidence.

Pre-paid funeral contract for peace of mind

A pre-paid funeral contract is where the family, with the assistance of Grobbelaars & Church Funeral Services, selects a coffin with services at the current price, and thereby make provision for the future.

This is not a funeral policy.  It is merely paying for your funeral in advance.  Like everything else funeral costs continue to increase.

To try and meet these expenses people have traditionally purchased funeral policies or left money in a savings account.  Unfortunately neither of these options can be relied upon to cover the cost of the funeral service.  In fact, the longer you live, the less likely they are to keep up with inflation.

Advantages of a pre-paid funeral contract

Any person 70 years and older qualifies for the contract and no health questions need to be answered.

You select the funeral service exactly as you would like it to be and everything is recorded in your own personal planning document.

You make a once off payment now and the coffin, with the services you selected, will be provided when the need arises, at no further cost to you and your family.

You may include a contribution towards other expenses such as cemetery or cremation fees, doctors' fees for cremation documentation, donations to the minister, organist and verger, press notices and flowers.
